Anna Styrczula
Atropos in the Tree
this is my nest | yes
I am the one | who taught
the weaver-bird | cut threads make
the softest bed |
| your midnight
thought | too weak to crawl
to the sunlit shore | now’s down
for my pillow | a finer fit
the secret is |
in the cut | the duller the knife
the greater the fray | and like the hydra
one dead thread | blooms
