greetings from landscape with regional motif

only two teeth and a paintbrush for the child of possible rooftops, a pebbling of oil sheened dove.
wings and the cavity between. the ice can echo a name just like a bird, the harmonics of reverence.
a deer won't place a hoof wrong in the lottery machine, dancing as it does with creeks.
the last warmth of the world will carry the motherless stone back to bed like forgiveness.
I have faith in you grasping the essentialness
of birds in their necktie of wings.
a presence took off from the low branches—
exit only for the screencapture, abstention.
the stained glass was the only witness remaining
plucked into syllables and titled in a sure hand.
horseshoes from a distant mouth

tossed in rings around this month
of hobbled tenses, a hand maneuvered

deftly, by touch alone, by tercet
in by-lines across the scrimmage

fingers crawl through the light
made by past tense for horse
past tense for hand.
